Understanding Paradigms – The Key to Personal Growth

by | Apr 10, 2023

Have you ever wondered why you look like some of your relatives or why you have the same habits? Have you ever questioned why some highly educated people are not successful, while others without a degree can earn millions and build successful businesses? The answer to these questions lies in our minds and the paradigms that control our thoughts and actions.

What Are Paradigms?

Paradigms are a set of habits or beliefs that are fixed in our subconscious mind. These ideas are so ingrained that we act on them without conscious thought, and they produce the results we see in our lives. Our actions cause reactions that affect our circumstances, environment, and conditions, and generally, our actions are being controlled by the paradigm.

Our subconscious mind is programmed, both environmentally and genetically, which is why we resemble our relatives. After birth, we are programmed environmentally. Whatever happens around us we absorb from the outside and this becomes our programming. We learn to live through our sensory factors. But the real power comes when we use our higher faculties which are perception, intuition, will, reason, and imagination.

The Power of Our Mind

Our mind controls everything, as Dr. J. B. Rhine said, “The mind is the greatest power in all of creation.” Our subconscious mind is programmed with paradigms, which determine our vibration or the frequency our body is in which dictates what we attract in life. Our conscious mind has the power to think of anything, but typically we think thoughts that are in harmony with our paradigm.

Changing Your Paradigms

If our paradigms are responsible for our thoughts and actions, how can we change them? The first step is to recognize that our paradigms exist and that we have the ability to change them. We can start to change our paradigms by changing our perceptions of ourselves and the world around us.

Changing our perception is not an easy task, but it is possible. It requires effort, patience, and persistence. To do this, we need to reprogram our subconscious mind by planting it with positive, uplifting, and empowering thoughts. This can be accomplished by studying books, listening to self-improvement audios, watching videos, attending online or in-person workshops and seminars, or getting involved in a coaching program.

Our paradigm is changed through repetition. We need to repeat affirmations and visualize ourselves as the person we want to be. We need to feel the emotions of being that person and act as if we already are that person. This repetition will create new neural pathways in our brains and reinforce positive habits.

Conclusion

Our paradigms generally control our thoughts, actions, and ultimately, our results. Recognizing that our paradigms exist and that we can change them is the first step in creating the life we want. We can change our paradigms by changing our perceptions, feeding our minds with positive thoughts, and repeating affirmations and visualizations. Changing our paradigms requires effort and persistence, but the results are worth it.
